hooked on phonics worked for me

the other night, i was working an event, and one of the waiters came over to me, introducing himself as david. same name as my dad, so i should have known this would take a turn for the worse. i introduce myself by first name only, as i have a nametag on that provides my full name and title. he then asks "are you a student here?" um. no. i have a nametag, dumbass. it says "assistant director of development." plus, i'm 25. so i correct him and his response? "well, you just look so young and fresh." ewewewewew.
